Layton and I just got back from our 2nd honeymoon! We were so young when we got married that we kind of felt like we missed out a little bit on our 1st honeymoon. We couldn't do much because we weren't old enough to rent a car...and to be honest...I was just really immature. I set out to make our 10th anniversary into a 2nd honeymoon! We were hoping to go to Europe, but that just didn't work out financially because we realized that moving to another city can be a little expensive. We were SO BLESSED to have some amazing friends give us their time share in Mexico for a week. All we had to pay for was airfare and food. We had a blast.

This was the most relaxing vacation we've ever been on. For the past few summers we have been galavanting around Chicago, Boston and a few National Parks. It felt so good to just lay around. It was a perfect ending to my summer.

Literally all we did was eat...drink...and lay. We ate Mexican food, Mexican food, and more Mexican food. We drank beer, Mai Tais, Bahama Mamas, Pina Coladas, and Margaritas. We lay in bed, by the pool and by the ocean.

I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate 10 amazing years of marriage to my best friend.

Day 28 - July 28, 2011 - Stopped drinking coffee for a bit, so I'm drinking tea now

Day 29 - July 29, 2011 - Dinner date at home

Day 30 - July 30, 2011 - Made chocolate chip cookies

Day 31 - July 31, 2011 - Salt water taffy at the Candy Baron

Day 32 - August 1, 2011 - Spending the day with Isaac at The California Academy of Sciences

Day 33 - August 2, 2011 - Exploring SF

Day 34 - August 3, 2011 - Ready for Cabo

A decade...

I'm posting this a day early because tomorrow we're leaving for a week vacation in Cabo! But tomorrow marks a very big milestone! Layton and I will have been married for 10 years! I still cannot believe that a decade has come and gone. Looking back at August 4, 2001, I realize that Layton and I had absolutely no clue what we were doing :) We were 2 little kids with stars in our eyes. But I am so thankful that those 2 little kids made a commitment to each other. The last 10 years have been such an amazing adventure and I am blessed to have been able to grow up with Layton. He is truly the best thing that could have ever happened to me.

Here are 10 things that I love about my husband in honor of our 10th wedding anniversary:

3) He is open minded

4) He does everything within his power to make me happy

5) He never stops learning

6) He is adventurous

7) He pushes me

8) He is a committed person

10) He loves me for who I am - even with all of my faults
